Tips for Applying Online

The Colonial Williamsburg Foundation online job postings and application procedure have changed. Please read the information below to guide you through the new system. If you need assistance applying, contact our employment office at 757-220-7713 (email: pbarner@cwf.org) or visit us in person on 427 Franklin Street, Williamsburg, VA 23185. We are pleased to assist you.

If you can meet our One Foundation performance expectations, choose “If you can meet these expectations, apply now.” The Careers application will open in a new window. Should the window not appear, please check to make sure that you have not blocked popup windows from this site. Doing so will prevent the Careers window from appearing.

The following four options are available to you: Search Jobs; Browse Jobs; Edit Your Profile; View Application Status

a) Search Jobs: Feature not yet available.

b) Browse Jobs: Shows summary of available job opportunities. Up to 10 postings show on each page. Use the page forward and page back arrows to browse the pages.

c) Edit Your Profile: Create and manage your account here.

Applying for the first time

a. An email address is required to apply online. If you do not have an email address, please use the following as your email address when you complete your online profile: noemail@firstname.lastname Example: noemail@jane.smith

b. When you apply for the first time click on “Click here to create a new account”

Editing Your Profile

If you have previously created a profile, Enter your e-mail address and password to login to the Careers site.

d) View Application Status: Enter your e-mail address and password to view the status of your applications.

Selection Process

Applications are carefully reviewed by Human Resources staff. The applicants who are the best matches are then considered by the hiring manager.

Not all applicants who apply will be contacted for an interview.

You will be notified if your application is no longer being considered.
